A classic highlander house from the late 1970s located in Zawoja at Paluchówka district.
Nestled in the valley between Babia Góra mountain, Kwiatek mountain, and Fitakowy Groń mountain,
it offers beautiful views of the Queen of the Beskid Mountains - Babia Góra (1725 meters above sea level)
as well as the surrounding hills and forests.
The peaceful surroundings and the proximity to hiking trails and main roads
have made Chata Pod Kwiatkiem a fabulous base for both hiking enthusiasts and motorized tourists.
The first owners and builders of Chata were Halina and Edward Trzebuniak,
who also managed two other establishments at that time:
the PTTP "Hanka" and the "Wiktoria" Holiday House.
Chata pod Kwiatkiem got its name from Kwiatek mountain, at whose foot it is situated.
The house was designed and built with the idea of creating a year-round accommodation base
for mountain hikers and skiing enthusiasts.
The project was inspired by a local builder, who was also the owner’s brother: Józef Giertuga.
In collaboration with his close friend, an architect Andrzej Badura from Częstochowa city,
he created a building that combines innovative amenities with the warm, homey atmosphere of a highlander cottage.
For many years, Chata pod Kwiatkiem served as a holiday house for various companies
and institutions from the Małopolska and Silesia Voivodeships.
Employees together with their families came here to spend their summer holidays.
Over time, the place was working along with the Polish Tatra Society,
becoming not only an accommodation base in Zawoja but also a venue for many interesting events.
Such as meetings with travellers, who, through slides and iteresting stories,
transported listeners to far-off places
that were inaccessible to many during the PRL era.
Slide shows, skiing gatherings, scientific camps for students, and family reunions
are just some of the attractions that continue to draw both young and older tourists.
Both elegant city dwellers seeking relaxation and adventure-hungry, perpetually muddy enthusiasts of mountain biking
and other extreme sports are warmly welcomed.
Everyone will find something for themselves here:
a place for a barbecue with friends, a wide lawn for a family picnic or a soccer game,
relaxation on a deck chair with a view of Babia Góra, the beauty of the Babia Góra nature to capture in photographs,
ski lifts, mountain trails, shops with local crafts, souvenirs, and fresh oscypek cheese,
along with many other attractions...
all at your fingertips...
